Brewers (0-0) v. Giants (0-0)

And we’re off!!  It’s finally here!  Let’s hope that we get this in;  the weather doesn’t look great (for the whole series actually).  Without further adieu, here is your game preview!

It’s the 2008 NL Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum v. our $12.5 million dollar man (god that kills me) Jeff Suppan.  In case you don’t know, Lincecum is GOOD.  On paper this pitching match-up is tough to like, but then we flip it to the offensive side of the ball.  You all know what the Crew has to offer…the same 8 from last year that smashed the ball all over the park.  Let’s hope that continues.  As for the Giants, they could definitely contend for the worst offense in the league.  Watch Pablo Sandoval all series.  They are super high on him and he is quite likely their best offensive player.  After that, some names you might find familiar, Randy Winn, Aaron Rowand and Edgar Renteria (who they over paid for); but like I said, nothing that scares you.

So, let’s hope Soup can put together a good outing, keep the ball in the park and the Crew finds a way to hit Lincecum bringing home an opening day win for the Brewers.  Go Crew!

  1. Letes just hope that Soup doesn’t put up C.C. type numbers (6runs and 8 hits in 4 1/3 innings, 5 BB, and zero Ks – Ouch!) in his season debut. That deficit would be hard to overcome for any offense!

SAME OLD STORY TODAY. YOU CAN’T SCORE IN THE FIRST WITH YOUR RUN PRODUCERS, SUPPON PUTS YOU IN A HOLE. THEY CAN’T SACRIFICE MEN IN FROM THIRD AND PITCHERS JUST CAN’T KEEP TEAM IN THERE. IT’S GOING TO BE A LONG SEASON WITH SUPPON, BUSH, HALL
