Well, over 8 innings our pitching staff only gave up 1 run, including 4 shut out innings by our bullpen. The bad news is in that other inning, we gave up 6 runs. This proved to be too much to overcome. However, the Crew did have plenty of chances. The offense left 12 men on base and very reminiscent of last year, went 2 for 13 with runners in scoring position. Even though we scored 6 runs, it could have been much, much more. I just never thought in a million years the Brewers would have a 5-1 lead after two innings and Yo would come out and give up 6. As they say sh** happens. Here is your game preview:
I’m growing a little impatient, so this is going to be short and sweet. Tonight the Brewers will face Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo has been around for a while now and is in his fourth year with Cincinnati. Arroyo can still throw a good game, but he may be getting like Suppan, not as good. The Brewers will run out Manny Parra. He needs to throw well and end this losing streak for us. Plain and simple. The Reds had 4 lefties in their lineup last night, so look for some changes with a lefty on the mound for the Brewers. Enough is enough already. Go Crew!
p.s. Macha is going to “have a talk with Suppan”. I hope that “talk” includes a swift kick in the ass.
