Sorry this post is coming so late in the day and so close to game time, but it is what it is. So last night kind of sucked. It was great to see Parra throw a decent game, but still 4 walks, including walking in the only run he gave up. Just unacceptable. Parra did strike out 8 and only gave up 3 hits, so outside of the walks it was a good outing. As far as the bullpen, yes the umpire did blow the call. Still Villy retired the first 2 batters of the inning. There is no way that 4 runs should cross the plate before the 3rd out is recorded, blown call or not. If I recall, it all started with a walk by Villy. All this said, the offense is probably more to blame. 2nd and 3rd with no outs with Braun, Fielder and Cameron coming up. We score no runs?? They all strikeout?? I don’t think you deserve to win if this is case. Short and sweet. Here is your preview for today:
One of the best pitchers in the NL is on the hill for the Diamondbacks today. Dan Haren is as good as they come, so right away I will say that if the Brewers can get this one, they stole it. Do not focus on Haren’s record, because he has got absolutely no run support. Focus on these numbers: 5 starts, 35 IP, 21 H, 36 K, 1.54 ERA. Ridiculous. Braden Looper takes the hill for the Crew. Looper has been excellent for the Brewers so far this year. The Brewers are yet to lose a game in which Looper starts. Something’s gotta give……….
