Milwaukee (25-14) v. Astros (17-20)

Not much time to get a post up today, so this will be short and sweet.  The Crew continued to roll last night with solid pitching from Dave Bush who weaved in and out of trouble all night and timely hitting mainly by JJ Hardy.  Bush managed to give up only 2 runs, which is unbelievable if you watched the game.  The fact that one of those was a home run to Astros pitcher Russ Ortiz is even more amazing.  The bullpen was solid has usual and Trevor is now 10 for 10 in save opportunities.  JJ had two clutch hits driving in 2 runs.  He is going up the middle and opposite field again, so maybe he is getting back in a groove.  Besides this the Brewers only totaled 6 hits, but again benefitted from an opposing pitching staff gifting them 5 walks.  Here is a preview for tonight’s game:

After getting rained out last Friday, Yovani is back at it tonight.  He loves pitching against Houston.  In 3 career starts against the Astros, Yovani is 3-0 with a 0.75 ERA.  That is not a misprint.  His one start against Houston this year was a complete game in which he gave up 2 runs at Minute Maid Park.  It should be a good pitching matchup tonight, because Wandy Rodriguez starts for the Astros.  Rodriguez has been their best pitcher to date compiling a 1.90 ERA in his 8 starts.  In five of these starts, Rodriguez has yielded either zero or one run.  That’s good.  The Crew does love lefties though, so hopefully they can break this trend.  Go Brewers!!
